Pondmaster PM1000 Replacement Filter Pads are versatile Filter Pads designed by Pondmaster that can be used in both the PM1000 Plate Filter, and the PM2000 Plate Filter. There are coarse and carbon pads--one of both kinds is used in the PM1000, the coarse pad on top of the carbon. Only the coarse pad is used in the PM2000, as the top layer of filtration before the lid is put on the unit. Pondmaster PM1000 Replacement Filter Pads come in units of either single coarse pads, single carbon pads, or one of each in one package, as listed below.

The small but powerful magnetically driven Pondmaster Impellers are easy to replace. Replacement Impellers are available for almost every size Pondmaster Pump: from the 65-Gallon per hour statuary pump, to the high volume 2400-Gallon per hour pump.
Should the impeller shaft sever or the blades wear out from excessive debris, the pump may still function without the ability to spin the impeller magnetically. A new impeller may very well be all that's needed to revive the pump to maximum operation. Simply remove the Faceplate with a standard Phillips head screwdriver, and pull out the old impeller (against the magnetic force.) Slide the new replacement Pondmaster Impeller into the pump cavity, shaft end first. After the magnetic force draws the impeller into position, replace the Faceplate into its original position, securing the nob on the Impeller in the notch found on the underside of the Faceplace. Drive the screws back in and tighten without excessive force, and you have a pump that works like new!

Pondmaster Faceplates are also quick and easy replacements and installations. A Pondmaster Pump may begin to decline in flow production if there is a rupture or crack in the Faceplate, causing water to expel improperly, or allowing the Impeller to spin with an unbalanced motion.
To replace, remove the screws holding the old Faceplate with a standard Phillips head screwdriver, a pull the old Faceplate and gasket off the pump. The new Pondmaster Faceplate comes with a new gasket as well. First, make sure the gasket is set in the groove on the pump, and then place the new Faceplate in position over it. Replace the screws, and you're done!

Pondmaster Pre-Filters come with the pump upon first purchase. They are either rectangular or cylindrical foam, or plastic cages, and are set on the draw side of the the pump. Pre-Filters do not filter the full volume water to the capacity that is needed, but rather keep initial debris from traveling into the pump, causing problems internally. Over time, Pre-Filters may deteriorate from bacterial build-up, crack or break with very old age, or just become too soiled with pond waste to be properly cleaned. At that time, you may consider a replacement Pondmaster Pre-Filter. In other cases, a Pre-Filter that came with the pump at the time of purchase may prove to be too small for the pump situation, and you may just decide on a larger Pre-Filter.
