Pondmaster pH Buffer will equalize and stabilize pH buffering capacity within the pond. Pond pH buffer will slowly adjust the pH of pond water which can fluctuate on a day to day basis due to many environmental factors. Additionaly, a system that recognizes proper buffering capacity will resist pH swings from morning to night. It will also allow the nitrification cycle to move easily convert nitrite to nitrate.
Safe buffering capacity levels are between 80-240. If buffering capacity is kept within this range the pH should stablize to safe levels between 6.0 - 8.0.
