Easily reaching 5+ feet, the Large Umbrella Palm's stems pack even more densely than other varieties over time, and push lots of growth, very fast in the hottest days of the summer, or in greenhouse conditions. Give this plant as much room as you can, both in planter size and space for stems to grow up. Large Umbrella Palms can withstand as much as 6 inches of water over the top of its large pot, but can also be planted directly into moist doil.
